What is new for the 2021 Hyundai Palisade?
The Hyundai Palisade has made one of the biggest splashes, figuratively speaking, in the crossover SUV market that we’ve seen in a long time. Greg May Hyundai is happy to announce that we have already received the latest Palisade model year into our showroom. So, if you’re curious about what is new for the 2021 Hyundai Palisade, our team of product experts has finally in a position to let you know. From an aesthetic point-of-view, nothing is really changing. It will still have three rows of seats that can hold a lot of people. What is changing is a repackaging of content features to spread the wealth to more of the vehicle’s trim grades. Let’s take a closer look at what the 2021 Palisade will have in store for you.
2021 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy Info
Hyundai designers and engineers have done an excellent job of ensuring the Palisade will be able to compete with the best the crossover SUV segment has to offer. However, there will always be a set of customers that are looking for something a little extra and that is where the Calligraphy package comes into play. Greg May Hyundai customers interested in the 2021 Palisade Calligraphy will need to start with the Limited trim grade to add the Calligraphy package. When a customer chooses the 2021 Palisade Calligraphy, they will be getting several additional features that are not available on the standard trim ladder, including:
- HTRAC® AWD with AWD Lock
- Downhill Brake Control
- Snow Mode
- Exclusive 20-inch wheels
- HTRAC® badging
- Premium accents
- Leather door panels
- Microfiber-suede headliner
- Leather steering wheel
Naturally, the 2021 Palisade will have the Hyundai infotainment system as standard equipment available on all trim grades. However, for the new model year, drivers and passengers in the 2021 Palisade will have the ability to connect more than one compatible mobile device to the system at the same time. Additionally, some people may be able to connect to the Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ suites wirelessly.
There are not any meaningful changes being made to the powertrain used by the 2021 Hyundai Palisade versus the inaugural model. Each trim grade will have the same 3.8-liter, six-cylinder engine under the hood that is attached to an eight-speed automatic transmission. It will produce 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. When the 2021 Palisade is properly equipped, it can tow up to 5,000 pounds, which is right in line with the rest of the class.
