When it comes to both value and features you may not be able to find a mid-sized sedan that fits that description as well as the 2020 Hyundai Sonata. With several trim levels and configurations to choose from at multiple price levels, it is easy to find something fantastic to fit almost any budget and need. The Hyundai Sonata has features that can even rival and beat many of the other cars in its class.
Hyundai Sonata Trim Levels
The 2020 Hyundai Sonata has four different trim levels that each offer various features and exterior color options.
2020 Hyundai Sonata SE
The SE, which is the most basic trim model, has all of the basic features you need and sits at a great price point. The engine is not the most powerful but it does afford the car great gas mileage at 28 MPG in the city and 38 MPG on the Hwy.
As for convenience and safety items, it comes with most of the things you would expect on a standard trim level. There is a backup camera, lane keeping assist, Apple CarPlay/Android, keyless entry, and an alarm. The seats are usually cloth but you can choose a different material. The price for this trim level starts at $23,600 and really has some of the best value features for the money.
2020 Hyundai Sonata SEL
This trim option is very similar to the SE trim level. The engines, drive, and gas mileage are all the same. And any of the features that come with the 2020 Hyundai Sonata SE will come with the SEL model. Most of the differences are going to be in the optional convenience features. This model has the option for a panoramic roof, remote start, universal garage door opener, or a leather wrapped steering wheel.
You can also choose some better sound and entertainment features such as a premium sound system or satellite radio. The basic starting price for this trim level is $25,700.
2020 Hyundai Sonata SEL Plus
The 2020 Hyundai Sonata SEL Plus has a little bit more get up and go than the previous two trim models. This means that the engine is more high powered and results in slightly lower gas mileage in the city and on the highway. The MPG is 27/36 respectively. The engine is an intercooled turbo regular unleaded I-4 1.6 L/98.
There are more entertainment options as well as smartphone integration. This model also has a navigation system and an onboard hands-free communication system.
The seats can also be a premium synthetic material and have comfort aspects such as lumbar support and heated seats. Pricing for this level starts at $27,650 which still makes it an economical choice.
2020 Hyundai Sonata Limited
This is the highest trim level. It has the same engine and gas mileage as the SEL plus and has all of the standard features of the previous models. It does have other luxury items that can be added and a larger range of exterior color choices.
This Limited has a fully equipped infotainment system and button gear shift rather than the traditional gear shift. Hyundai’s button gears are actually better than what Honda has out right now. Prices for this model start at $33,500
